The 'Exotic Pokemons' project started with the idea of Thai superstitious. Superstition roots into the core believe of Thais especially local people and the elderly. It becomes part of the Thai cultures to the point that it is less likely to be distinguished from religions.

One of the superstitions that I found interesting in the Thai society is the fact that people worship exotic animals for the wish of luckiness or the chance to win the lotteries. Seldom I hear the news about two-headed snakes, three-legged turtles, or albino elephants which Thai people considered coincidences tat happen once in a blue moon — they usually rub these animals with powder and wish for the lottery numbers to appear.

With this idea in mind, I take the inspiration of connecting this superstitious belief in exotic animals to the Pokemon characters which are mostly unrealistic. This work hopefully leaves the audience question: 'why you worship these exotic Pokemons?'
